Bob Uecker did a series of commercials in the 1980's that played off of his undistinguished baseball career. Despite the fact he accomplished little in his career, the commercials had him believing that his status as a former major league ball player would get him special favors from the fans. In the best known commercial, he sits down in a great seat at the ball park only to be told he is in the wrong seat to famously say, "I must be in the front row!" Little did he know he would be moved to the worst seats in the ball park!
This week, we explore a parable that Jesus told that sounds an awful lot like this commercial. I hope you'll listen us as we consider what this lesson in humility can teach us about life in God's Kingdom.
